Antoine Lavoisier was a French nobleman who is often called the father of modern chemistry. He named the elements oxygen and hydrogen, as well as discovering the law of conservation of mass. None of that fame and fortune kept him from getting beheaded in 1794

Science Project

For the unit 4 instead of an exam we are going to do an individual project. Here you have the direction for your project:
- You need a Din A4 cardboard, that you will use as a display.
-  In the cardboard you have to draw your assigned ecosystem
- Write the name of some animals and plants that belong to your ecosystem
- Put the geographical area where we can find the ecosystem.
- Finally you have to present your project to the class with the help of your cardboard.

Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin was born in England on the 12th of February 1809, he died on the 19th of April 1882. He is most famous for his work on natural selection, the idea that all species of life have evolved over time from common ancestors. This process involves favorable traits becoming more common in successive generations of living things while at the same time unfavorable traits become less common. Not only did Darwin develop the idea of natural selection, he also presented compelling evidence from his detailed research which included a five year voyage on the HMS Beagle. On this voyage, Darwin visited ecologically diverse regions such as Brazil, Chile, Australia, the Falkland Islands and the Galapagos Islands. His 1859 book ‘On the Origin of Species’, detailed much of his research on natural selection, it contained a large amount of evidence to back up his ideas and became a landmark work in the field of evolutionary biology.

 

Exam unit 3

We have exam of the unit 3. Remember, you have to study the plants reproduction, the types of plants, the phoyosynthesis, the glossary of the unit and the plants respiration. If you study the exam won't be difficult. Good luck.
